The Bhagavata Purana is the topmost pure Purana and provides solutions for the problems of the world. Although it was compiled fifty centuries ago, it foretold many events taking place today, and even those that are yet to come.
Some of the questions asked within its pages are: What can make us free and truly happy? How can we cope with this age we now live in, the "Age of Kali", in which lives are short, concentration and memory are diminished, spiritual interest is limited and people are easily misled by false leaders and teachers? Above all, in a time of great upheavals caused by constant quarrel and hypocrisy, what are we to practice in order to make spiritual progress?
In answer, its prophecy is that an incarnation of Krishna will come in this age disguised as a devotee of God. He will come not with divine weapons, but will come with His companions, all of whom will chant the names of Krishna. He will proclaim the path of loud chanting of God's names as the solution for all problems. His name is Krishna Chaitanya.
The chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra is full of potency and is transcendental to the material modes of nature. This chanting will therefore lift one from the actions and reactions of daily living and place one's consciousness on the spiritual plane. The Bhagavat Purana also states that the chanting of Hare Krishna is the sublime method for reviving our dormant love for the Lord.
The chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra is full of Krishna's pastimes, and ever blissful. This chanting aims at nothing less than a revelation of Krishna Himself. The devotee will establish in his life a golden throne for the Holy name and worship it as the most precious and valuable jewel. Thus situated there will be no need to search for anything better,
